In many chemical production processes, an unwanted by-product is the formation of crystallized reaction salts. These crystallized salts are solid and float in the liquid product. Not only do these crystallized salts not look good, but they can interfere with the application of the liquid product.
Usually, a filter system is used to fill the liquid product into the desired containers. Sometimes these crystallized salt floats are so small in size that they are not caught in one of the filter bags. In these instances, a significantly smaller and denser filter plate is needed to filter out the crystallized salt floats.
